The BVM family celebrated Janmashtami with all great fervor and gaiety. Students of different classes donned the roles of Lord Krishna and Gopikas and lifted up the whole arena. The event commenced with lightening of ceremonial lamp. Honourable Trust Members Sh. M. M. Bamba Ji (President, BVM Trust), Sh. Manoj Gupta Ji (Treasurer, BVM Trust), Sh. M. M. Vyas Ji (Member, BVM Trust) , Sh. O. P. Sabharwal Ji (Member, BVM Trust), Sh. R. K. Behal Ji (Member, BVM Trust) graced the occasion. A fancy dress competition for classes I and II was held where the girls were decked up as ‘Radha’ and the boys as ‘Shri Krishna’. With their laudable performances, they lighted up the stage and mesmerized the audience. Mrs. Anjula (TGT Maths) enlightened the students about the importance of the festival. She opined that we can celebrate this event in true sense by following the messages of Lord Krishna. On this occasion, the class presentation was organised in which the students of class VI exhibited their extraordinary talent. Aaina (VI-C) expressed her heartfelt views through a speech. Ashish (VI) and Aryan (VI) recited beautiful poems dedicated to Lord Krishna. Budding Bvmites enacted diverse “Leelas of Shri Krishna”. An enactment on ‘Krishna-Sudama Milan’ was performed merrily which was followed by an enchanting Bhajan “Gopal Sahara Ban Jao”. The event also comprised of group dance in which Lord Krishna was presented playing ‘Holi’ with Gopikas and ‘Radha’ that left everyone spell bound. All the performances won the souls of the spectators.
Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi extending her greetings on the pious occasion reminded BVMites about Lord Krishna’s devotion and obedience. The event culminated with Vande Matram.
